Did you know that June 16th is the International Day of the African Child? This day is set aside to remind us about our international community and to consider ways we might support child development in Africa.
Each year a different theme is emphasized. The theme for this 2023 is digital safety.
To celebrate this day, Friends of Undugu Family of Hope wants to expand our donor base 20 X 20. That is, we hope to get 20 new donors at the $20 level to help meet our feeding program goal of $800/month.
If you are reading this, chances are, you already donate or you are thinking about donating to Friends of Undugu Family of Hope. Our challenge is to reach out to new people in our circle of influence. If each current donor gets one more donor, then we will meet our goal!
You might be surprised at how many people in your social and family circles surrounding you who are just waiting to be asked to join a cause and want to make some small difference in the world! Please take courage, and reach out! The worst that can happen is they will say no.
Stay tuned for more news from Undugu Family of Hope as we transition from newsletter to blog - probably keeping both formats for the foreseeable future.
Blessings to all of you who have contributed so far!
Asante Sane (Swahili-thank you very much)
Tami
